About Team Si

This is the second year Team Si is cycling the London 100 to raise money for the Epilepsy Society in memory of Simon Taylor. This year Team Si consists of Gary, Jo, Sally, Marc and Simon Moore.

Simon Taylor suffered with epilepsy for most of his adult life and there were times when we thought it and the cruel impact it had on his life would beat him. He proved us wrong, his resilience, and strength made him turn his life around. In the last two years Simon transformed his himself, taking up Jujitsu, running and cycling propelled him to change his life. He lost weight, moved home and finally established himself as the man he wanted to be. Watching him fight for the easy life we all took for granted made us so proud and it was so cruel he only had it for a short time before he was snatched away. It will never be ok that Simon is not here, and the pain and the hole in our hearts will never go, but training for something he would have loved feels like he is a little closer. Raising money and awareness for what can be a cruel and destructive illness, hoping that every pound raised will push forward in finding a cure and helping young sufferers like Simon lead a normal life.
Simon will always be with us, laughing at the mess we are making as we attempt to do what we know he would have achieved with ease if only he had a chance.
